I was born in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. I went to Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada during my third year of college and ended up staying in Canada, Ontario and Quebec, for five years, before moving to Franklin, NC to be with my grandparents. I have taught high school ELA, French, elementary AIG. I got into CTE by way of OTJ computer experience at various newspapers in NC. I like the hands-on and creative aspects of teaching Computer Science and Robotics. Fun fact: I played guitar in an all-female Ramones cover band until I went to grad school for a Library Science degree.
