All eLearning Day content will be housed in the Canvas LMS.
Each eLearning lesson component should be labeled as follows: eLearning, Date, Title of Assignment or Activity
All teachers will have a Canvas homepage that includes course name, teacher name, teacher contact info, email of ACS Help Desk (acstechhelpdesk@acsc.net).
Content Creation
Teachers will create their own material lessons and are encouraged to work collaboratively with other educators in like areas.
Teachers should review and access modules in student view to check for errors and broken links
Community partnership opportunities are being explored to allow students closer access to wifi, but teachers should create materials can operate “offline," when possible.
Content will not be created by e-coaches (corporation).
Special Education teachers should contact Special Services Office for specific info.
Lesson Length Expectations
English, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language, AP, Dual Credit = 45-minute lesson
All other courses = 30 min. lesson
eLearning Day Attendance
Students will complete an Attendance Check-In via Google Form each class they normally have attendance taken in.
Teacher Expectations for All eLearning Days
Teachers will be expected to be available via e-mail for at least three hours per day to answer content-related questions.
Scheduled eLearning Days-9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
On-Demand eLearning Days-10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Procedures for Scheduled eLearning Days
Modules must be posted (unpublished) in Canvas one week before the planned day.
Modules will be published one day before the planned day. This is good day to review with students.
Available Support
The ACS eLearning Instructional Coaches are available prior to and on eLearning Days to answer questions.
