CAS
Creativity, Activity and Service
CAS is a requirement of the IB Diploma program and is completed over 18 months. This requires a high level of engagement from all students who pursue the full diploma.
Students should be active within the school community and show initiative to develop new skills, collaborate with others, and undertake challenges. Each student will develop a portfolio to demonstrate engagement in Creativity, Activity, and Service experiences, as well as a CAS Project.
CAS Portfolio
The CAS portfolio is a collection of reflections on different experiences from each CAS category as well as a CAS Project. Reflections are documented in ManageBac and must meet all Learning Outcomes over the course of the program.
7 CAS Learning Outcomes:
Identify your own strengths and develop areas for personal growth.
Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience.
Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences.
Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively.
Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance.
Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions.
