MS3060 Algebra 1
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Pre-Algebra with a grade of C or above, or Math 7 with a grade of A or above
This course is designed to provide the students with a solid foundation in Algebra. The students will focus on topics such as exponents & radicals, linear and quadratic equations, expanding and factoring, straight lines in the coordinate plane, systems of equations, and the Pythagorean Theorem, right angle trigonometry and statistics and probability. Mathematical reasoning, mental math and problem-solving strategies are emphasized throughout the course.
