The Missing Colour(s) is written by the students of The Green Acres Academy, Chembur. This picture book contains a story about a child who is unaware of the skin bias that seeps through society and affects the way we think. Through an interaction with a friend, he learns the importance of being aware. Students who created this book were motivated to spread awareness about the problem since they personally experienced these subtle biases in society. Through a detailed study on colourism, the students authored and illustrated this book to share with all of you. Please click on the book cover to explore the world of the missing colour (s).

To pull of a project of this nature took a lot of hardwork and push from some fabulous teachers and well-wishers that we would like to thank. The missing colour(s) team would like to thank Mr. Rahul Gaikwad for all the guidance he provided through the weeks on our illustrations. Additionally we would also like to thank Ms. Shrawani Sen for helping us edit our story and Mr. Parth Thakkar for giving a beautiful look to our digital book. This project would not have been possible without their support!
