The GED

The GED Component of ISAEP

ISAEP students are required to attain a minimum score of 145 on all four GED Ready™ qualifying tests before being allowed to take any official GED® subject test. All four qualifying tests will be provided at the Appomattox Alternative Education Center at the completion of each subject block of instruction. Official tests are taken at a local official testing site. Students who pass all four subjects of GED testing have demonstrated academic skills that outperform approximately 60% of the nation's high school graduates.

Please note that passing the GED® test is only one component of completing the ISAEP program and of meeting the state’s compulsory education requirements. All components of the ISAEP (economics, CTE credential, and GED) must be completed in order to finish the program. The final GED subject test can only be scheduled after the economics and CTE portions are complete.
