Program Overview

individual student academic education plan (isaep) Overview

Appomattox County High School's GED/ISAEP program is designed for those students who are at least 16 years of age and who are having difficulty finding success in a regular classroom environment. The ISAEP program prepares qualifying secondary students to graduate high school with a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) high school equivalency credential and the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful transition to adulthood and the workforce.

ISAEP students will receive comprehensive instruction across a variety of topics in language arts, social studies, science, and math. In addition, students will complete a personal finance course to ensure an understanding in the realities of real-life economics. The program includes a career and technical training component to help ensure that students exit the program with the skills necessary to find entry-level employment and/or transition to post-secondary education or workforce training.
