AHS Robotics Team and the FIRST Robotics mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
The Robotics Team is in charge of designing, building, and programing a robot to complete certain tasks as named by the game rules posted each year by the FIRST Robotics. We need team members to fill all these different roles as well as fund raise and get sponsors. The team competes in regional events, and as we gain point and awards the team can advance to compete in the national as well as world competition events.
This will be our fifth official year as a team. In the past few years the team has won many awards!
