Dottie Gillespie is a former science educator and environmental activist. She studied environmental science as a major in college. Her knowledge of the environment, the plastic problem, and kelp have helped Kel Jel immensely.

Her advice on ways to expand Kel Jel opened up our team's eyes wider and we now have more goals for in the future and one day we can make them a reality. She also explained to us how we could harvest kelp and make it another branch in Kel Jel as aquaculture. Dottie contributed lots of new ideas to the Kel Jel team which we appreciate coming from her.
