End of Year Course Exams
The State of Ohio requires all students to take end of course exams in 7 classes:
English 9
English 10
Algebra
Geometry
Biology
American Histroy
American Government
Your son or daughter can use this web site to better prepare for the tests http://oh.portal.airast.org/ocba/students-and-families/. They will have to create an account with the Ohio Department of Education; once this is complete they will have access to test reviews and other resources. This valuable tool is free for any student to use.
A combined score of 18 or higher (with at least 4 total points in English, 4 total points in Math and a combined total points in social studies/science as part of the 18 equation) is needed to obtain a high school diploma in most cases.
