NIMS FEMA 100, 200, 700, 800

ENROLLMENT and EXAM INSTRUCTIONS

ALL STUDENTS MUST REGISTER FOR A FEMA SID NUMBER:

1. https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid

2. Click on Register for a FEMA SID

3. Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to create your account

4. Your SID Number will appear and will also be emailed to you. Put this number in a secure location.

5. You will use this SID number when you start the exam process.

HOW TO ACCESS NIMS 100, 200, 700 & 800 COURSES:

1. Go to training.fema.gov

2. Click on Independent Study link at the top of the screen

3. Choose one of the NIMS Courses:

   1. IS-100.c - Introduction to the Incident Command System - 2 Hr. Course

   2. IS-200.b - ICS for Single Resources and Initial Command System - 3 Hr. Course

   3. IS-700.b - Introduction to National Incident Management System - 3.5 Hr. Course

   4. IS-800.c - National Response Framework Introduction - 3 Hr. Course

4. On the right side of your screen, under Take This Course, click on Interactive Web Based Course

5. Use the arrow keys at the bottom of your screen to proceed through the course. When you come to the last page, a link to Take The Exam will appear.

6. If you are not ready to take the exam, you can take it at another time following the directions below.

HOW TO TAKE A NIMS 100, 200, 700 or 800 ONLINE EXAM:

1. Be sure to use INTERNET EXPLORER for your Web Browser

2. Go to training.fema.gov

3. Click on Independent Study link at the top of the screen

4. Click on the NIMS course you want to test in

5. On the right side of your screen, under Take Final Exam, click Take Final Exam Online

6. Type in your SID Number and Last Name, click I Agree

7. Scroll down and fill in your Contact Information and remaining information

8. Click Continue To Exam

9. Your test will begin
