Federated Insurance

More than a century ago, a group of business owners in a Minnesota trade association, unhappy with the terms and pricing of the East Coast insurance companies, came together to form a mutual insurance company that would insure the best run, most safety-conscious businesses in select industries. Through industry-specific insurance coverage and risk management resources, they would drive down the costs for their members’ businesses. Federated Mutual Insurance Company was born. Today, hundreds of local, state, and national affinity partners embrace this mission and exclusively recommend Federated to their members.

The Federated Insurance Mission Statement reads: As a mutual insurance company, we believe our value is measured by the success of our clients. It’s Our Business To Protect Yours®. That mission continues to guide the organization. You see it in highly trained direct marketing, direct claims, direct underwriting and direct field services personnel positioned throughout the country to deliver face-to-face, local consultation unique to the industries served. There is no middle man. This direct model is the best way to help clients address their total risk management needs through:

- Property and casualty coverage

- Life and disability income coverage

- Workers compensation coverage

- Business succession and estate planning services

- Industry-renowned risk management resources

Federated Insurance is A+ (Superior) by AM Best Company and is headquartered in Owatonna, Minnesota. The mission of visionary association members a century ago, lives on.

Some of these services are offered by third parties independent of Federated with the understanding that Federated nor its employees provide legal or other expert advice.
