Estimating plant age

This activity introduces students to estimating the age of trees or plants using the diameter at breast height (DBH) and applying species-specific growth factors. While offering a general age approximation, the method also highlights how growth varies due to environmental conditions, species differences, and human influences. This hands-on approach deepens understanding of forestry and environmental science practices.
