Mrs. Orillion: English/ Language Arts
AR Information
We will go to the library every week! Students will be able to check out books either in the classroom or in the library. Students should always have an AR book to read in class and at home. They will be given a goal specific to them and bonus points will be allotted for those who surpass their goal. Students will also be given reading logs for at-home reading. I will continuously encourage my students to READ, READ, READ! Please help me in this effort.
Curriculum/ Grades
Bellringer participation will be graded.
Our reading curriculum is called Amplify. All content with our lessons will be on the Amplify platform found in Clever, and students will be given directions on how to access each lesson.
Materials: Students have a binder for any ELA papers I give them. However, most material will be online, so it is very important that they become responsible users of their Chromebooks. Students are responsible for novels sent home. If they are lost or damaged, they will be asked to replace them or pay for them.
Writing Assignments
Reading Tests- Students will be allowed to use their novels, stories, articles. etc.
Vocabulary Assessments
Any other assessments appropriate to the content practiced
