I've been teaching middle school ELA for twenty years. I've been married for twenty-two years, and we have six beautiful children!  My life is full, happy, and always an adventure.  I love to read, run, hike, and hang out with my family.

Most importantly though, I love to teach!  I enjoy the many different personalities, thoughts, opinions, and ideas that enter my classroom.   Teaching is not a profession to me; it is my mission in life.  I am passionate about middle school. It is a time of such change in a person's life, and I want to help mold my students into better, educated people of this world.  My hope is that when my students leave my classroom, not only will they be able to make inferences and cite evidence, but they also will have become selfless students, who have goals and dreams for their future.
