About Me

Welcome to Middle School! I’m Ms. Vazquez. This is my second year teaching at AcadeMir Charter School Preparatory but, my 10th year working with children overall . I graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Psychology and I currently attend The University of Miami with goals of accomplishing a masters degree in mental health counseling. I am an advocate of hands-on, inquiry-based learning. I get my students involved in a variety of problem-solving, and critical thinking with the use of technology-infused activities and hands on activities that may provide them with opportunities to “Sparkle” in life. My professional interests focus on communicative approaches to enhance learning through thematic planning, which includes cooperative learning and projects throughout the school year. Some of my hobbies are traveling/adventuring, being a baker/chef, spending time with my family, friends & boyfriend ,and being outdoors relaxing by the beach or pool . I am so excited to be teaching your child and to be able to watch them SPARKLE throughout the school year. WELCOME LET'S SHINE TOGETHER!
