1.Watch one animal at the Georgia Aquarium (push the white button)
2. Draw a picture of one animal
3. Write 1 sentence about the animal. Parents can help with writing the sentence.
Day 3 - 3/27

I added another video. After watching the video about rainbows, draw one of your own. You can draw it on the back of your "and" paper. Otherwise, you can use paint, chalk, markers, crayons, play-doh. etc. You are the illustrator!

Add a sentence using "my" along with a picture on something like: the back of the worksheet, white board, using chalk, etc *Remember to use a capital, spacing & a punctuation mark.

Rock those Socks Day
Watch and listen to the Fox in Socks story
Go back through the story and find 5 rhyming word sets
Write and draw the rhyming word sets on a piece of paper, or on a chalk board or white board (or even the sidewalk)
Have someone take a picture of your completed work with you wearing your "Rock the Socks"
Send the picture to me through the Remind Messaging or email (adampier@academielafayette.org)

If available, use one of these products to write the sight word "my" in a sentence: shaving cream, play-doh, sugar, flour, sand, powdered Jell-O, etc (remember to use a capital, spacing & punctuation in your sentence)
Send me a picture with your Wacky clothes on while you are writing your "my" sentence.

Day 10: Tuesday, 4/7

Complete the Tracing AaBbCc worksheet in your #1 packet
Practice writing your AaBbCc with play-doh, in the sand, flour, dirt, shaving cream, etc.

Weather Chart Paper Plate
Draw lines to divide up the paper plate into 4 sections
Have students draw & color the four different weathers or print them out (around the top section, have students write the title = My Weather
Have students label each weather section
Assist students in making an arrow out of construction paper. On the arrow have students write "Today is..."
If you do not have a "brad" to connect the arrow in the middle then you can use a paperclip (take the poker point and push thru to the back and bend through so the arrow will "spin"

Day 11: Wednesday, 4/8

Fun Activity: Make Play-doh at home
1 cup Flour
1/4 cup of Salt
1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
need up to 3/4 water (SORRY, this didn't post)
Food coloring
Scent ( if you want it to smell nice)
1. Add flour and salt together
2. In a separate bowl mix water & food coloring
3. Mix both bowls together, adding additional flour if it's too sticky
4. Add vegetable oil & store in closed container or in a sealed baggie
Day 12: Thursday, 4/9
Learning Target: I can identify upper and lower case letters ( K.RF.1.A.a)
- Cut out the upper (capital) and lower case letter flash cards (in packet #1).
- Two Game Choices:
a. Memory Game - match upper with lower case letters
b. Hide-N-Seek - Have someone hide all the flashcards in one room - find all the cards and then "match" them with their partners.
3. Watch Jack Hartman's video and be ready to "name" the letters. Mr. Jack mixes them all up.
Fun Extra Activities:
Find items around your house that begin with the letters in your first name: Example: A = apple
Find letters in magazines or newspapers that spell out your first and last name; cut them out to spell out your name
Use your new play-doh to practice your upper case and lower case matching letters.
Day 13: Friday, 4/10
Learning Target: I can identify HFW (K.RF.3.A.b)

Earth Day
Today is Earth Day! Enjoy our Earth by helping take care of it. Then write one thing that you did to help our Earth. Draw a picture to illustrate along with your sentence(s).
