Title: Coneability of a family of bi-Lipschitz embeddings, with applications

Abstract: We show that the a of Lipschitz embeddings from [0, ∞) to ℝ is coneable, i.e., it contains an infinite dimensional cone. We apply that to the study of twisted Hilbert spaces (Banach spaces containing an isomorphic copy of ℓ2, such that the corresponding quotient is isomorphic to ℓ2). Using the coneability result, we obtain a large family of mutually non-isomorphic twisted Hilbert spaces sharing properties with the celebrated Kalton-Peck space Z2.
