The UFPB Summer Conference in Mathematics (SCM) is an annual event organized by the Graduate Program in Mathematics at the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (PPGMat-UFPB), traditionally held during the UFPB Summer School in Mathematics. Established in 2012 as WENLU (Workshop in Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations), the event has expanded significantly over the years, broadening its scope to cover a wide range of mathematical fields. This growth led to the adoption of its current title.
Its 11th edition will take place from February 25, 26 and 27, 2026, at the Department of Mathematics, UFPB, in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil.
The goal of the conference is to foster integration, discussion, and the dissemination of scientific research, promoting the exchange of knowledge and experiences between faculty members and graduate students from higher education institutions across Brazil and from prestigious universities abroad. The event is distinguished by its plenary lectures and thematic sessions, which are designed to engage participants in scientific dissemination. These sessions are delivered by world-renowned experts and provide a dynamic space for learning, collaboration, and networking in key areas of mathematical research.
