Our first Math Department Award goes to Katherine Katsoudas! Katherine has taken every college-level math class Williams has to offer - AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches - and done high quality work in each one of them. Most notably this year in IB Mathematics, Katherine wrote an outstanding investigative paper in which she used calculus to minimize the amount of plastic packaging needed for strawberry containers. Congratulations on your many achievements, Katherine! The Williams Math Department is so proud of you!

The other Math Department award goes to Àngel Osnaya Montes! Àngel started the school year placed in a Math 3 class, but he felt that AP Calculus would be a better fit - and he was exactly right! Despite joining the AP Calculus class nearly a month late, Àngel quickly caught on and turned into a star student. He mastered the calculus content, earning an A in AP Calculus BC. You have a bright future ahead of you, Àngel. Congratulations!
