Do you have specific questions about Digital Citizenship? Contact your school Media Specialist and they would be happy to help you!
Thanks to a grant from NCDPI, we're thrilled to announce that all ABSS elementary and middle school students will have access to Learning.com for the 2024-2025 school year.
This platform is packed with engaging resources specifically designed to equip students with the essential skills for safe and responsible digital citizenship. Digital citizenship is a crucial role we all play in today's world.
This initiative will be led by school-level media coordinators. While media coordinators are spearheading this initiative, classroom teachers with rostered homerooms will have teacher access and can integrate Tech Quest into their classrooms if and when appropriate.
Why ABSS is Implementing Learning.com:
The Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requires schools to educate students on cyberbullying, online behavior, and interacting responsibly online.
However, our goal extends beyond CIPA compliance. We aim to provide students with frequent opportunities to develop essential digital literacy skills.
This will empower our students to use technology responsibly within and outside of the classroom, fostering positive online behaviors and reducing negative ones.
