Vision Screenings are provided for all 3rd and 5th Grade Students. You will be notified from the school when the nurse is scheduling the vision screenings. If you do not want your child to get a vision screening; you will need to contact the teacher/nurse to "opt out"
If you child is not in 3rd or 5th grade and you feel like they need a vision screening by the nurse, please contact me and I'll be happy to assist with your permission.
Alamance County Children's Dental Health Portable Clinic is a dental resource that we have to offer in the school setting. This program assists with those who do not currently have a dentist. It can also be of assistance if there are barriers to getting to the dentist, such as transportation/work schedules/etc. Consents are sent home at the beginning of the year and they will reach out to parents individually. When they bring their mobile unit to school, they can perform cleanings, x-rays, fillings, sealants, and even extractions! This is such a wonderful program.
