All kindergarten students at BEJ will follow a staggered entry schedule Monday, August 29 through Thursday, September 1. This means that students will attend one of four days in small groups of 4-6 students per class. During these days, students will begin to learn the daily routines and procedures. They will also spend time in each of our kindergarten classrooms and get to know all of our kindergarten teachers. During these days, teachers will assess students individually using our district kindergarten screening tool. Information will be used to create final class roles. Final classroom assignments will be shared with families during an in-person Meet the Kindergarten Teacher event on Thursday, September 1. All students will attend on Friday, September 2, and report to their assigned classroom.
