Did you ever read a book and find it hard to keep track of all of the characters in your mind? Sometimes a book can have so many characters that it's hard to remember all of their names, relationships, motivations, etc. Here are some things that can help!
1. Use lego or other figures and label them with the characters' names -- or make your own labeled figures using whatever you have available! I made some using markers and sticky notes (see photo) for the play A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.
2. Draw diagrams, family trees, whatever helps you keep track of who's who.
3. Try a graphic novel version of the book you are reading. Graphic novels can help you picture the characters in your mind and visualize the place and time period of the book too. (Note: graphic novels are not a substitute for the book itself, but can be a great help!) Ask your teacher or librarian to help you find a quality graphic novel version of the book you are reading.
