Veterans Day:
For the first two months, all students learn to sing a selection of patriotic songs and perform as a grade-wide chorus for the Douglas School Veterans Day program in early November. In addition to learning how to sing as a large group, this long-standing tradition enhances 5th graders' social studies curriculum of early America. The songs and example videos are below.
