Science

Welcome to 7 blue Science!

I am excited to start a new year and to get to know everyone on our team!

I am Mrs. Bouchard

This is my 25th year teaching 7th grade science

If you have family members who went here they might have known me as Miss Goulet:)

You will see Mr. Bouchard around after school - he is a second shift custodian.

This is me and Mr. Bouchard at a wedding this summer:)

I hope we get to know each other this year - to start us off, I like to hike and swim.

I am a big nature lover - natural formations like canyons, glaciers and waterfalls just to mention a few. I also really like plants and animals, especially birds!

You may be wondering what will we do in science this year - Well,

We will work on skills like

  • reading graphs and data tables,

  • making observations and inference,

  • writing about data

  • critical thinking...

Big units for the year are:

  • Astronomy

  • Geology

  • Ecology

  • There are also topics that go across units and years, like density and heat transfer :)

  • And you will refer back to topics from the last couple years like forms of energy (don't worry, if you didn't get to it I will go over it)

Extra Help

offered once a week after school - usually Tuesday or Thursday (To be determined - see homework calendar to be sure)

Extra help is just a name we give to "office hours" or a time to connect with your subject area teachers. It is a great time to

  • go over material from class,

  • ask questions you were nervous to ask in class (or you thought of later),

  • check your understanding of something or

  • even get a sneak peek at what is coming up:)

In my extra help you can also :

  • Organize materials (for any/all classes)

  • Work on homework on your own or with others (so I am there if you have questions)

One important link for you to have access to in many places is the Team Homework Calendar
