I want to say "great job" to Stacey and her staff. She really has done well in creating About Phase Academy. My IMSA refresher course exceeded my expectations from having other refresher courses elsewhere for the same certification. The online class experience was enjoyable and Stacey was very helpful with the hiccups caused by my ever changing work schedule. Thank you!

This was by far the best course I've taken yet! It was virtual but being in the "classroom" stetting it did not feel like it. The office was nice and comfortable. I do not take exams well but I felt relaxed in the setting provided. Stacey and her team had everything ready for us so there wasn't as much paperwork as usual, and the moderator was very clear and knowledgeable. Great class, classroom setting, staff and moderator. 100% will be back in the future!

Not the same old boring program...Earn continuing education credits so you can renew your Traffic Signal related certifications... The hours from this program can be used for ANY level Signal Technician or Signal Inspector :) THIS PROGRAM IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR RENEWALS STUDENTS – not new certifications!
The Fiber 101 program can be used as a prep course or as a renewal program! An in person class that will be held the day before day the final CFOS/D program, the basic principles reviewed in this program can help prep students for their CFOS/D and CFOT programs and exams. The hours from this program can also be used to renew current IMSA/FOA Certified Fiber Optics Technician certifications.
The certification is geared toward entry-level technicians who have some prior knowledge of electrical technology or training.
This certification is geared toward more experienced technicians. A minimum of two years in the traffic signal field is required.
The certification is geared toward entry-level technicians who have recently entered the field.
This certification is geared toward professionals that are responsible for the installation and upkeep of roadway lighting systems.
Fiber Optic Technician for ITS, Traffic, Fire Alarm, and Communication Systems is primarily aimed at installers who need the basic knowledge, skills and abilities to install fiber optic outside plant networks properly. Others who may be interested in the course include network owners, IT personnel, facilities managers, network designers, estimators or other technicians involved in the design or installation of fiber networks.
This program is designed to introduce the designer or manager to the process of fiber optic network design and the implementation of that design in a real-world project. This program is not intended to be an entry level program. Students should have the IMSA/FOA Certified Fiber Optics Technician certification OR experience in fiber plant installation and testing knowledge.
