A Legacy Reimagined

Able Builders, Inc. was founded over 30 years ago as a humble two-man operation, offering basic commercial remodeling services for a small group of local property managers. The name existed—but the vision, reputation, and standards the company is known for today had not yet been built.

That evolution began when Justin Wilber joined the company and transformed its trajectory. With a professional background in aviation, residential and commercial finance, and franchising, Justin brought strategic thinking, operational structure, and a higher standard of excellence to the business.

During his time as Chief Operating Officer, he led Able Builders through a period of rapid transformation and growth—expanding the company by over 400%. Since becoming the company’s primary principal, Justin has driven an additional 130% growth in just the past 36 months, positioning Able Builders as a leading force in construction, restoration, and environmental consulting across the Tampa Bay area.

Leadership Rooted in Expertise

Today, Justin Wilber serves as the company’s Chief Strategist and Lead Consultant & Inspector, shaping both high-level vision and field-level execution. Under his leadership, the company has built a strong executive team with decades of combined experience and a shared commitment to quality.

• Jason Piwowar, President:  Originally hired as Chief Operating Officer and now serving as President, Jason brings a background in commercial structural steel and large-scale project management. His logistics-focused leadership has played a key role in scaling operations with precision and consistency.

• Christopher Key, Executive Vice President and Director of Production:  Chris is a lifelong contractor with a deep understanding of structural systems, construction methods, and finish quality. His commitment to doing things right sets the company’s production standard.

• Caesar Farias, Director of Emergency Services: contributes decades of experience in disaster response and restoration, leading with empathy and professionalism when clients need it most.

• Kirsten Petty, Chief Designer: Kirsten leads all creative direction, design plans, and finish selections, ensuring every space is as beautiful as it is functional.

• Trudy McKean, Chief Financial Officer: Trudy oversees budgeting, accounting, and financial strategy with more than 40 years of experience, providing sound financial stewardship and transparency.

• Sophia Waddingham, Corporate Secretary: Sophia is our Corporate Secretary and In-House Graphic Designer.  She supports internal operations while elevating the company’s branding and communications through creative, consistent design.
