Visual Arts Educator
and Fiber Artist
I am very excited to be in my fourth year in the Art Department at Abington Senior High!
I have over fourteen years experience teaching visual arts to people of all ages. Helping students find joy and confidence in their creative expression and artistic skills is a main goal and fulfilling part of my career as an educator.
I have a BFA in 2D Fine Art from Moore College of Art and Design, a Master's in Art Education from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, and am currently working on a Master's of Fine Arts through Maine College of Art and Design. I am an active member of the Art21 Educators community, which focuses on teaching with contemporary art. I am also a former board member of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association.
I am a practicing fiber artist, concentrating in surface design and embroidery. I love any process-based and craft form where the artist's hand and time are evident- especially printmaking, drawing, and ceramics.
