Handbuilding is a semester-long elective course which lays the foundation for continued study in ceramics. Students will learn the stages of clay, pinch construction, coil-building, slab-building, and glazing techniques to make both functional and sculptural ceramic artworks.
Students learned how to create pinch pots and made a series of nesting bowls with patterned surface decoration.
