Habit #1

Be Proactive

I am in Charge of ME!

Skill: Teach your children to be less reactive and more proactive when faced with difficulties in life.

Be Proactive means to take responsibility for your choices and behaviors. This habit teaches children that different choices yield different results. The goal is to teach them to think about those results BEFORE they do something. Discussing this habit with your child can focus on taking care of themselves, taking care of their things, reacting or not reacting to others’ behavior, planning ahead, and thinking about the right thing to do.

When to use: Family Time/Meal Time
