Other Possibilities

THINKING OF THE FUTURE …

This is a useful way of gauging people's feelings and sense of buoyancy about their direction of travel. It can be used as an initial measure of where things are about community issues or as a means of testing how people feel an ongoing project is progressing. The title should be given to participants and is self explanatory but can then be based on various possible lead in phrases such as I feel good/positive/excited about; I feel concerned/worried about; we need to see; we don't need to see; and so on. The lead in phrase is determined by the information required.

I feel positive because

It’s already starting … started … starting

The days are lengthening – SUNSHINE

I had Weetabix this morning

Bike out of hibernation this morning Summer is here

Although change is coming we’ll find our way through

The young people are amazing

Summer time

Negativity is not a motivating emotion and action is often required

Going for a run later

Exciting work challenges

Working with colleagues in the team, partners and communities directly has been really energising

Sunshine and weekend hikes

Lots of people helping to make the world a better place

There’s finally some warmth in the sun and I’ve been tidying up the garden a bit

Happy in my new home

The sun is still shining

What else is there to be

I feel positive …

Because

Side of a building with a sign pointing to the future
Person opening a gift
