Overview of Services
In-School Services: Ross Middle School has a Mental Health Professional and a School Social Work Intern that helps provide social, emotional, and behavioral support to all students on their caseloads and/or provide referrals to:
Outside Therapeutic Services: Medi-Cal Eligible families can be referred to our Community Resource Team (CRT) to provide more intensive services to students and their families outside of the school. For families with private insurance we can submit a referral to our Mental Health care navigation system that will help connect you to providers in your area.
Emergency Services: For students who need further evaluation because they present a risk of harming themselves or others.
The school-based social emotional learning program at Ross may include activities, lessons, and/or counseling to promote your child's social-emotional wellness in areas such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, or other topics to promote academic success and well-being. Your child may be asked to participate in individual or group sessions for 15-45 minutes occurring weekly, bi-weekly or monthly for 6 to 8 weeks. There is no fee or cost for your child to participate in this program. Your child's services (including frequency and duration) will be determined based on his/her needs and provider availability.
