It provides support to transition successfully from school and tailored aftercare to ensure that destinations are sustained and outcomes are maximised.

Criteria

This programme is designed for young people aged 14-19 with a learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder or additional support need.

Measured Impact

Stepping Up participants will be supported to complete a detailed Vocational Profile, which is a dynamic tool updated throughout the pupil's engagement on the programme. It allows us to develop insights into a young person's skills, abilities, interests and aspirations. The Vocational Profile includes an Action Plan which describes the activities for the next phase of the young person's journey, such as their intended destination or employments interests. Pupils are supported into Work Experience Placements, supported to complete employability workshops and a Community Impact Project, all of which demonstrate progression throughout the programme.
