Child Protection

All children in Scotland have the right to be protected from abuse or neglect.  Effective child protection procedures are put into place wherever there is a likelihood or risk of a child coming to significant harm.

St Machar Academy responds to Child Protection matters in accordance with the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland 2021 and Aberdeen City Council's Corporate Child Protection Policy.  All staff are trained in the appropriate responses to a child protection concern.
