Care Experienced Young People

Care Experienced (formally LAC) young people are subject to compulsory supervision by the local authority, in our case Aberdeen City Council. A Care Experienced young person may live at home with family, with foster carers, or in a local authority children's home. In certain circumstances, they may reside out with Aberdeen City. In all circumstances, Aberdeen City undertakes corporate parenting responsibilities for the young person and these extend to school-based staff.
