Our Star Awards are used to recognise the children's wider achievements at Scotstown School. As a school community, we feel it is very important to recognise the skills, abilities, determination and effort pupils achieve outside of school as well. We would like our parents and carers to nominate their child!
A Star Award can be awarded for recognising a milestone that a child has achieved. It could be something like learning to tie their shoelaces, achieving a certain grade with their musical instrument, learning to ride their bike without stabilisers, completing a piece of work independently, taking initiative, showing responsibility etc. These are only a few examples, but a nomination can include any achievement that you or your child values.
A gallery of stars awarded to our pupils will be posted on our website on our virtual wall. It will include your child's name and a brief description of your nomination.
We are looking forward to hearing about our 'stars' at Scotstown School.
