Resilience - At our Quarryhill, we believe in the power of resilience. Every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and we encourage our students to approach obstacles with determination and a positive mindset. By embracing resilience, we equip our students with the tools they need to succeed now and in the future.
Ambition is believing in yourself and striving for more. We encourage every pupil to dream big and take pride in their achievements. By setting goals, working hard, and embracing opportunities, we are building a community where success is attainable for everyone. Ambition reminds us that no matter where we start, the future is full of possibilities waiting to be explored.
Kindness is potentially the most transforming value for our school community. It’s about small acts of care, patience, and generosity that make a big difference. We aim to inspire pupils to consider others’ feelings, build meaningful relationships, and create an environment where kindness is our strength.

Values
These values were newly agreed upon as a school at the beginning of the 24/25 school year. We spent much time discussing with the pupils what we want to embody as a school. We asked ourselves questions like "what do you want to a pupil to be like?" "What is important to you when you come into school?"
We believe respect begins with listening, understanding, and valuing one another. It means treating everyone—peers, staff, and our wider community—with dignity and care. By fostering respect, we are creating a culture where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to contribute positively. Together, we are learning how respect strengthens relationships and helps build a brighter future.
Previously, Quarryhill had a set of aims to help pupils and staff understand our goals for creating a fantastic school environment. We are now shifting these to our 'Quarryhill Mindset'—a set of statements that reflect our pupils, staff, and community and guide how we approach all aspects of school life. These mindsets are currently under review and may evolve, but we hope you catch the vision! Leave feedback here.
