Welcome to Kaimhill Nursery!
Here at Kaimhill we operate under the 48 weeks, 8am to 6pm model to provide 1140 hours of quality Early Learning and Childcare for children aged 3-5 years. Our staffing consists of two Senior Early Years Practitioners, Early Years Practitioners, Support Workers and Modern Apprentices. We also welcome a range of students who carry out their placements with us.
We follow the Curriculum for Excellence and our practice is underpinned by national guidance such as Realising the Ambition and How Good is Our Early Learning and Childcare?. Children learn through play in the nursery classroom, garden, wider school and the local community. We use the Seesaw app as a tool to communicate with families and to evidence children’s learning and achievements. Each pupil is a ‘Focus Child’ on a three-weekly basis, during which time their Key Worker will observe, monitor and report on their learning and next steps.
We want to build positive, productive relationships with our parents and carers to fully support the children reach their potential. ‘Stay and Play’ sessions are held on a monthly basis to welcome families into the setting and we appreciate any feedback and suggestions.
Our noticeboards will keep you up to date with key information relating to our nursery. If you should have any further questions or queries, please contact a member of the Nursery team or call the school office.
