Meet the Heidie
I am delighted to welcome you to the Kaimhill School and ELC website where you can navigate your way through a range of helpful information about our school. It has been my pleasure to be the Head Teacher of Kaimhill School and ELC from September 2014. I am supported by dedicated, caring staff teams and ACC colleagues as we work together to get it right for our children.

Kaimhill School is in the southwest area of Aberdeen, within the Harlaw Associated Schools Group and Aberdeen City Council's Dee Locality Group. We have a rapidly increasing school roll with a wide range of cultural backgrounds and diverse learning needs represented. I am very proud of our diverse school population and the learning that comes from understanding and celebrating each other’s differences.

Positive relationships are at the heart of our practice and highly valued in supporting our children with emotional wellbeing and readiness for learning. We pride ourselves in offering an inclusive learning environment which provides our young people with the necessary supports and interventions to succeed. Partnership working is key to this success, and we welcome support and collaboration with our learners, staff, parents, partners and the wider school community.

It is my desire that every pupil, staff member, parent and partner across our Kaimhill School community has a quality experience of our school. The ethos at Kaimhill School is one of approachability and openness, however problems or concerns sometimes arise and when given the opportunity, it is my responsibility to try to find a positive resolution. By working together, we can ensure that Kaimhill grows in strength and our children receive the educational experiences they need to grow as successful, safe and ambitious learners. When your child enrols at Kaimhill School, I do hope that their school career is a happy one and we look forward to working with you to support your child’s education. If you have questions or would like further information on any aspect of the education of your child, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
