We take part in weekly litter picks in the playground.
We take part in various litter picks around out community throughout the year including in our local park and community garden space.
In 2021-2022 Primary 5 took the lead with the Scoop Watch Campaign where learners encouraged dog owners to pick up their dog's mess by providing them with free dog mess bags.
We regularly recycle our paper in school but want to recycle more things like food and other plastics.
We took part in the Litter League Spring Clean this year.
We took part in the Mighty Midsummer Mission to clean up our playground, local park and community Garden. We did three litter picks in the school playground and one in the Community Garden. We picked up two big bags of litter and one half bag from the Community Garden.
Primary 3 read Doug the Litter Bug Story and created their own Litter Bugs.
Primary 3 created their own litter posters.
Even our Football Teams pick up litter!
We have been using refillable glue sticks in the classroom to make sure we use less plastic.
We work with Period Power and Aberdeen City Council to provide free period products for families. We have recently taken on some reusable products for families to try including period pants.
