From August 2019, all classes in the school will be rolling out the use of Google Classroom instead of a Class Blog.
Your child(ren) should log in to their Google Classrooms and share their learning with you, a little bit like when you get their Learning Journey jotters home.
These Google Classrooms are also teaching resources and should not be altered in any way - many classes will be using the platform for sharing homework.
Please refer to the emails you have been sent for further guidance on accessing Google Classroom.
Access can be made to Google Classroom and the Google Workspace for Education applications at home, meaning that presentations, documents etc can be created in Slides and Docs and be accessible in home and school. No more need for pen drives!
Below are Slides made to support families getting started with and using Google Workspace for Education and Google Classroom.
Google Workspace for Education and Google Classroom will work on most internet browsers, but is designed for Google Chrome and you’ll get the best out of it on Chrome. Install and download Chrome onto PCs, Macs and laptops and go through it when accessing Classroom and Drive etc. rather than using Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc
If you are on a mobile device (phone, tablet, iPad) then it is best to download the app for the aspect of GSuite that you are looking for from either the App or Play Store e.g Classroom, Drive, GMail etc. Again it will (sort of) work using Safari but it’s better from the app. If you do wish to access using the internet on a mobile device, then again it is recommend that you install Chrome and access via that.
