At Aberdeen School for the Deaf we hope that your child will enjoy and embrace all the opportunities and support that we offer. Our vision is for our pupils to grow to become confident, happy and independent learners.
This website has been designed to supply all the information you need about our school and to support partnership with children, staff, parents and the wider community. You will find regular updates, newsletters and information about events and trips as well as key documents and other helpful information. However, if there is any further information you would find helpful, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to working with you and your child. Our dedicated staff have high expectations and seek to deliver a creative, imaginative and personalised curriculum to enthuse and inspire every learner.

ABZ Works Employability support for parents
Our colleagues in the ABZ Works team are currently commissioning a study on how to better support parents using employability services. The Scottish Cochlear Implant Programme are very excited to host their first Transition Day event for young people aged 15-21.
When: Thursday 5th June - 10am - 3pm.
Where: Glasgow University Student Union
Who: Ages 15-21
What will you do:
This is a chance to learn more about your cochlear implant and deafness.
You will hear from guest speakers (who are also CI users) - Tasha Ghouri from Love Island/Strictly Come Dancing, William Palmer Deaf Football and Kara Gillespie Young Bafta Presenter.
Take part in fun workshops
Have the opportunity to browse our stalls about equipment and support.
You will have opportunities to meet other young CI users, at the same age and stage as you prepare to transition into adult services.
