The AGS Roots Programme is a targeted programme of work to support young people with their transition to Aberdeen Grammar School. The aim of the programme is to reduce barriers associated with transition.
The programme is open to young people who require a level of support above our universal transition programme. Participants in the group may include:
Young people with a specific learning difficulty or disability
Young people with a specific social, emotional or behavioural barrier to learning
Young people facing other barriers linked with transition
Nomination for the Roots Programme is at the discretion of each primary school in discussion with our transition teachers. Be aware places are limited so not all nominations can be accepted. Once participants are identified, primary schools will contact families and share the necessary documentation.
Young people will attend 6 morning sessions at Aberdeen Grammar School in Term 3
