Our vision statement of “Working Together, Learning Together, Achieving Together” places positive relationships at the heart of all the work we do. We believe that by working together we can offer our young people the widest range of opportunities and experiences. The individual success of our young people matters to us. Ensuring that our young people benefit from a calm and purposeful learning environment is central to creating the conditions for academic success.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a set of principles for teaching and learning which gives all young people equal opportunities to learn.
UDL provides a blueprint for creating learning intentions and success criteria, methods, resources and assessments which work for everyone - not a single ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution but rather flexible approaches which can be personalised and adjusted for individual needs.
Our vision for supporting all learners at AGS is to work together to identify flexible approaches to teaching and learning under three key principles:
Presentation of information
Learning activities, assessment and feedback
Interest and motivation
