Starting a Club at Appleton North

Interested in starting your own club at Appleton North? Follow these easy steps!

Come up with your mission, vision, and name for your club!
1. Mission - What are you trying to accomplish?
2. Vision - Where do you see this club going this year, next year, and after you are graduated?
3. Name - What are we going to call it that's unique yet identifiable?
Find an Advisor!
1. Must be an AASD Staff member
2. They are a guide and help with logistics, but you run and organize meetings/events!
3. You can have outside volunteers help as well, but...
  1. They have to go through the volunteer approval process and have a background check done
  2. You still have to have an AASD teacher or staff member be the direct advisor
Find Some Members!
1. Identify 4 or more other Appleton North students that would be interested in being a part of the club!
Complete the "Club Classification Form" & turn it in to the office
1. Complete with your advisor then they sign it
Set a meeting with Mr. Kubuske (Activities Director) to review the new club for approval!

Pick a meeting date!
1. Find a day of the week/month that works best for your group and doesn't interfere with other clubs
  1. Flex Meeting Schedule
2. Have your advisor add your selected date(s) to the Flex Meeting Schedule
Create your network!
1. Let North know you're a new club ready to rock by:
  1. Adding a blurb to the morning announcements
  2. Getting your updates on the North Displays (talk to your advisor)
  3. Create a cool flyer and get it approved by Mr. Lee in Student Services to be hung up in the building!
  4. Create your socials!
    1. Share the handle and password with your advisor
    2. Follow @ANorthLightning so they can follow back!
Raise some funds!
1. Meet with Ms. Locy in Student Services to find out how to raise funds -or- get approval for a fundraiser idea!
2. You are permitted one Fundraiser per year, so make it a good one!
3. Complete the forms with your advisor then they sign it!
