All interested East students are welcome to join Drama Club!
We typically meet after school on the first Tuesday of each month during the school year. Follow us on Instagram @aehsdrama for the most up-to-date schedule & info!
In addition to monthly meetings, Drama Club supports all theatre activities at East, including the fall musical and spring play, ushering performances, helping with box office, and more!

Why Join Drama Club?
Our club social media and marketing students put together this testimonial to kick off our 2025-26 school year! Scroll through the photos or simply read below:
"Over the course of preparing a show, you spend so much time with your castmates and bond with them so much, until it truly feels like family. Whether you want to be on stage or not, there’s a place for you here."
-Paige, Class of 2028, cast member + leadership
"Being part of Drama Club means being part of something bigger than yourself. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to try. There’s a place for everyone here. And once you’re part of it, you’ll never forget the feeling of hearing the audience’s applause, knowing you were part of something truly special."
-Cynthia, Class of 2026, cast + crew member + pit musician
"Drama Club feels like a welcoming family. I’ve already made so many bonds in just one year. It's a very welcoming place for anyone and offers a sense of community and belonging."
-Dean, Class of 2028, crew member

-Lyrriq, Class of 2027, cast member
“People from different backgrounds come together and create something beautiful. It’s absolutely incredible to see how people bond over the creative process. Whether you’re on stage or behind the scenes, you get the chance to express yourself and support one another through every high and low. It’s an environment built on trust, creativity, and passion."
-Cynthia, Class of 2026, cast + crew member + pit musician
"The people are what make Drama Club special! I’ve made so many friends I never would’ve met otherwise."

"Drama Club gives everybody the opportunity to tell a story that we have made our own and share it with an audience. Through storytelling, we are able to bond as a cast, face challenges together, and have fun! No matter what your passions are, there is a place for you in our story!"
