Place batteries in the slots according to the polarity position (+/-) indicated on each slot, and plug the charger into a working electrical outlet.
Look at the LED light on the unit. Solid red indicates the unit is charging properly. The light will flash red if the charger detects a problem. If it is flashing red, remove the batteries and reinsert them.
If the rechargeable batteries are overly warm, they may be old or damaged - replace it ASAP.
Don't leave the battery in the charger once it is fully charged.
Never charge with an unspecified charger or specified charger that has been modified. This can cause breakdown of the battery or swelling and rupturing.
Never attempt to charge a battery which has been physically damaged.
