AA in South Beds has plans to get out and about this summer, talking to the public about the AA programme and how it's saved millions of people from a miserable life of alcohol adiction.
On May 24th, local AA members ran a "stall" at the 50th anniverary Luton International Carnival. More than a dozen volunteers spent the day talking to all comers about the amazing, 12 step programme that has helped so many people to get sober and stay sober.
Going forward, South Beds AA members will take our fantastic AA Gazebo along with literature and displays to other public events. First off, we'll be at the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce Summer Reception on June 10th to talk to business leaders about the disease of alcoholism and how it affects people's work lives.
Then on July 11th, you'll find us at Houghton Regis Carnival throughout the day. Come along if you want to know more or, if you'd rather not wait, call our local helpline ( 01438 747475 ) or use the link above to find your nearest AA meeting.
