The CAT Magnet program is an educational choice that allows students to be both career and college ready. Students have the opportunity to add value to their overall education by earning industry-recognized certifications and college credit while still in high school. Students who complete a CAT program fulfill the completer path needed for graduation. Additionally, since most of the CAT magnet programs are two-year programs, many student’s complete coursework necessary to be career completers as well as college completers (DUAL completers). The CAT centers offer 25 different Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs which are guided by industry standards and are embedded in a framework of career clusters key to Maryland’s economy.

Level 1 Program for RISING 10th and 11th graders

Career Explorations Course is for one SEMESTER, (.5 credit)

Level 1 Program courses are either ONE SEMESTER (.5 credit) or YEARLONG (1 credit)
